Our legislation
Radio spectrum usage in New Zealand is governed by two key pieces of legislation — the Radiocommunications Act 1989 and the Radiocommunications Regulations 2001.

Our work
We're responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the radio spectrum, including policy advice and future planning, administration of the Register of Radio Frequencies (the RRF), licensing rules, compliance and enforcement of the Act, and radio frequency interference (RFI) investigation.
